Inviting applications for the role of Manager - Marketing, AEM Backend Developer -

We are seeking an experienced AEM Backend Developer – Manager who will lead backend engineering across AEM Sites and AEM as a Cloud Service. This role will be responsible for architecting, developing, and optimizing backend services, integrations, and platform components that power global, scalable digital experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Lead AEM backend development across multiple websites, markets, and business units.
• Architect and implement OSGi services, Sling Models, servlets, schedulers, workflows, and automation.
• Own backend integration strategy for APIs (REST, GraphQL, microservices), ensuring security and scalability.
• Govern JCR repository structures, content models, permissions, and optimization.
• Drive backend performance tuning, caching strategy, and Cloud Service–ready optimizations.
• Manage code reviews, quality gates, unit testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with Architects, DevOps, QA, Security, and Product teams to deliver secure, performant solutions.
• Support content teams with tooling, backend logic, authoring improvements, and automation.
• Mentor and lead backend developers; manage workload, delivery timelines, and technical roadmap.
• Ensure backend systems comply with enterprise standards for security, privacy, logging, and governance.

Qualifications:

• Deep expertise in Java, OSGi, Sling, JCR, and backend AEM development.
• Hands-on knowledge of AEM Cloud Manager, Adobe IO, and Cloud-native patterns.
• Experience in secure coding, API authentication, OAuth/SAML, and token-based systems.
• Strong understanding of dispatcher behavior, caching layers, and CDN integration.
• Ability to establish development best practices.
