The Spares Team for Leica Biosystems is responsible. The Team Leader is responsible for day-to-day supervision of the production cell team by providing guidance, training, and leadership to motivate and ensure high performance and quality product manufactured to assigned work orders.

The Spares Team leader will be responsible for maintaining sufficient stock levels of finished goods in the warehouse by.

This position is part of the Operations/Manufacturing team located in Leica Biosystems Melbourne and will be fully on site. At Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives.

You will be a part of the Spares manufacturing team and report to the Spares Value Stream Manager. If you thrive in a fast-paced, team-based role and want to work to build a world-class manufacturing organizationread on.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Coordinate daily activities to achieve planned production targets & improve the production cells performance.
  • Ensure compliance with EHS and other company policies and procedures, ensuring timely reporting of EHS incidents.
  • Promote a culture of quality and encourage the team to raise any quality issues.
The essential requirements of the job include:
  • Ability to provide clear instructions to operators.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing environment and needs.
  • Sound organisational skills.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
  • Minimum 2 years experience in leading a team.
  • Good leadership skills with ability to motivate your team whilst maintaining harmonious relations within the cell and organisation.
  • Basic computer skills.
