Senior Steward

Role Overview

The Senior Steward is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and organization of all kitchen and service areas. They supervise the stewarding team, ensure all operating equipment is cleaned and handled safely, and support kitchen and service operations for smooth functioning.

Key Responsibilities

Stewarding Operations

• Ensure all crockery, cutlery, glassware, and kitchen equipment are cleaned, sanitized, and stored properly.
• Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing area, pot wash area, and kitchen floors.
• Operate dishwashers and ensure proper temperature & chemical usage.
• Monitor garbage segregation and disposal as per hygiene standards.

Supervision & Coordination

• Guide and train junior stewards on cleaning standards and equipment handling.
• Allocate daily duties and monitor task completion.
• Coordinate with chefs and service teams to support operations during peak hours.

Hygiene & Safety

• Follow HACCP and food-safety guidelines.
• Ensure chemical handling, PPE usage, and hygiene protocols are strictly followed.
• Report equipment malfunctions immediately.

Inventory & Equipment Care

• Maintain par stock of cleaning supplies.
• Ensure proper handling of fragile items and prevent breakage.
• Assist in monthly inventory of crockery and cutlery.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in stewarding or kitchen operations (supervisory experience preferred).
• Knowledge of kitchen hygiene standards, dishwashing procedures, and chemical usage.
• Ability to lead a small team and work under pressure.
• Physically fit and comfortable with long working hours.
• Basic communication skills.

Pay: Up to ₹16,000.00 per month
