Oracle Apex Quality Analyst

  • Experience: 5.5+ Years
  • Work Mode: Remote/ WFH

  • Shift Timings: 3:30pm-1:30am

Role Summary:

QA Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of Oracle APEX-based applications and other low-code applications. The QA Engineer will be responsible for functional testing, regression testing, automation, and data validation, working closely with developers, business users, and other QA team members.

Required Technical Skills:

1) Manual Testing Expertise: Strong experience in functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

2) Exploratory Testing - Ability to identify defects beyond documented requirements through intuitive and experience-based testing.

3) Risk-Based Testing - Skilled in prioritizing test efforts based on business impact and criticality.

4) Business Process Testing - Validates end-to-end workflows across integrated modules to ensure business continuity.

5) Database Validation: Proficient in SQL and Oracle DB, capable of writing queries for data verification and test support.

6) Familiarity with Oracle APEX architecture including pages, forms, reports, and validations.

7) Experience with test automation tools: APEX Automated Testing - for regression testing of APEX apps and OATS - for functional and enterprise-level automated testing.

8) Proficient in defect management using Jira and HP ALM and test case creation, execution, and management.

9) Additional QA Exposure: Exposure to API testing (Postman or SoapUI), performance testing, or RPA tools is a plus.

10) Domain Knowledge: Experience in testing booking and reservation systems, including workflows for user bookings, pricing logic, and payment integrations. Familiarity with customer service platforms, finance and procurement applications, CRM systems, and reporting tools is preferred.

11) Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with keen attention to detail. Effective communicator with the ability to document clearly and collaborate across cross-functional teams. Brings a user-centric approach and demonstrates ownership and accountability throughout the QA lifecycle.
