Position Overview

Were looking for a hands-on Design Engineer who knows how to turn real-world mechanical problems into manufacturable designs. You will work on defence and aerospace ground support systems, hydraulic rigs, test benches, high-pressure gas systems, and special-purpose machines.

If you can think in 3D, draw in 2D, and make both talk to each other we want you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
  • Develop complete GA, fabrication, assembly, and P&ID drawings.
  • Convert concepts and sketches into detailed engineering layouts and BOMs.
  • Support prototype fabrication ensure design intent is carried through to the shop floor.
  • Collaborate with electrical and controls teams on mechatronic system layouts.
  • Maintain proper revision control, drawing standards, and documentation.
  • Prepare technical files for client approvals, tenders, and design reviews.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and fabricators for manufacturability and fitment feedback.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Diploma with strong experience also acceptable).
  • 25 years of relevant design experience in mechanical system design, SPM, or test equipment.
  • Expert knowledge of SolidWorks (3D Modelling, Assembly, Simulation, Sheet Metal, Weldments).
  • Working experience with AutoCAD (2D Drafting, P&ID, Layouts).
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes, GD&T, tolerances, and BOM preparation.
  • Strong understanding of hydraulic/pneumatic circuits and industrial components preferred.

Good to Have

  • Knowledge of ASME, ISO, or defence standards.
  • Experience designing pressure vessels, skids, or instrumentation panels.
  • Exposure to simulation/FEA or CFD tools.
  • Passion for defence/aerospace product design and a build-it-right attitude.

Compensation

Competitive as per industry standards (based on skill and experience).

2.5 Lakhs - 6 Lakhs Per Annum

Preferred candidate profile

  • B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Diploma with strong experience also acceptable).

NOTE:

Company has 3 Years BOND policy. Employees have to serve minimum 3 YEARS. Please note that every year during BOND, the salaries rise (Minimum 15%) and can be higher based on performance. The BOND is necessary due to long Defence project cycles and critical technologies involved. The BOND value is equal to 6 months CTC.
