JOB DESCRIPTION FOR LEGAL ASSISTANT MANAGER

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of Customs, Disputes, Arbitration, Statutory and Tax laws ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Liaise effectively with government departments and authorities to handle legal and regulatory matters.
  • Provide legal opinions and strategic advice on a wide range of legal issues affecting the organization.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents with a high level of precision and excellence.
  • Conduct legal research to ensure up-to-date knowledge of laws and regulations.
  • Manage disputes, resolve conflicts, and minimize legal risks for the organization.
  • Guide and mentor junior legal team members, ensuring high professional standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law (LLB/LLM) (Law Graduate)
  • A minimum of 5-6 years of relevant legal experience.
  • Knowledge of Customs, Disputes, Arbitration, Statutory, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations is a must.
  • Sound knowledge of Civil and Criminal law.
  • Proven track record in handling cases in high courts.
  • Expertise in customs clearance processes and regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective liaison with government officials and authorities.
  • Exceptional drafting skills with attention to detail and clarity.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
