Job Overview

We are looking for dynamic and skilled professionals to lead and manage Allen Bradley-based automation systems across all plant locations. The ideal candidate will ensure optimal system performance, minimize downtime, and drive new automation projects involving AB PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and VFDs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Allen Bradley Systems Expertise

  • Programming, troubleshooting, and commissioning of Allen Bradley PLCs (CompactLogix, ControlLogix), HMIs (FactoryTalk View ME/SE), and SCADA systems.
  • Support for VFDs (PowerFlex series) and communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP.

2. Installed Base Management

  • Conduct regular preventive maintenance and system health checks.
  • Perform firmware version control and manage backups of software and configurations.

3. Project Execution & Support

  • Assist in the planning, design, and execution of automation projects involving Allen Bradley hardware/software.
  • Support hardware selection, I/O mapping, FAT/SAT, and validation processes.

4. System Integration

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams for integration with third-party systems (e.g., MES, Energy Monitoring).
  • Manage data integration with SQL/ODBC or cloud-based platforms.

5. Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze downtime data and recommend automation-based improvements to enhance system efficiency.
  • Lead upgrade initiatives for legacy AB systems.

6. Documentation & Training

  • Develop SOPs, I/O lists, logic descriptions, and electrical schematics.
  • Conduct training sessions for plant electricians and maintenance personnel.

Qualifications & Skills

Education:

  • B.E. / Diploma in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical, or Mechatronics.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in RSLogix5000 / Studio5000.
  • Hands-on experience with FactoryTalk View ME/SE.
  • Familiar with PowerFlex VFDs and Ethernet/IP communication.
  • Strong understanding of P&ID, I/O mapping, and control panel design.
  • Experience with SCADA report generation and data logging via OPC/SQL.
