Position Summary:

As a Software Engineer on the Cloud Back-End Engineering team, you will be instrumental in the design, development, and optimization of server-side applications running on a large-scale, geographically distributed infrastructure. In this role, you will tackle complex challenges, such as building scalable and high performance backend systems, enabling seamless integration with cloud services, and ensuring reliability and robustness across multiple regions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, DevOps engineers, and product managers, to architect solutions that meet both technical and business requirements. Leveraging your expertise in distributed systems, APIs, and modern cloud technologies, you will contribute to the continuous enhancement of our cloud-based ecosystem, delivering services that power innovative products and elevate user experiences globally. Your Role Responsibilities and Duties:

• Design and implement features in distributed backend systems.
• Own feature delivery from concept to completion.
• Develop unit tests using testing frameworks and define integration tests with Test Engineering.
• Address performance and reliability challenges at a global scale.
• Triage and resolve reported bugs.
• Provide estimates, schedules, and updates to technical leads.
• Share innovative ideas and technical insights with the engineering team.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
• 5-10 years of relevant development experience
• In-depth experience in Java
• Experience with AWS technologies
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, Helm
• Development experience with Linux and Bash
• Intermediate knowledge of version control tools such as git and GitLab
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, ArgoCD
• Knowledge in NoSQL, Prometheus, Elasticsearch, Kibana, and other CNCF technologies
• Experience with distributed systems architectures
• Understanding of concepts such as concurrency, parallelism, and event driven architecture
• Knowledge of Web technologies including REST and gRPC
