Job Purpose

We are seeking a visionary Sr. Director, AI to establish and lead our AI Innovation Center, focused on the design, development, and deployment of cutting-edge AI solutions across our software portfolio. This role is pivotal in accelerating our AI strategy, applying technologies like machine learning, generative AI, agentic AI, and advanced analytics to create transformative products and capabilities for the energy sector.

You will help shape the company's AI vision, build and lead a cross-functional team of data scientists, ML engineers, and AI product innovators, and partner with product, engineering, and customer teams to bring AI-infused applications to market.

What You Will Do:

• Establish and Lead the AI Innovation Center to drive R&D in AI and ML technologies for energy-specific software use cases.
• Define and execute the company's AI strategy, including tooling, platforms, and applied AI models.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to develop AI-driven product features, services, and decision-support tools across our software ecosystem.
• Oversee the development and deployment of ML models, agentic systems, and generative AI applications that enhance customer experience and business outcomes.
• Partner closely with engineering, product, data, and domain teams to embed AI into product roadmaps and deliver measurable business value.
• Guide and grow a high-performing AI & Data Science team, cultivating a culture of innovation, experimentation, and impact.
• Ensure the responsible and ethical use of AI, adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements, especially as they relate to the energy industry.
• Evaluate and select AI/ML tools, frameworks, and platforms, staying current with rapid advances in the field.
• Represent the company in industry forums, conferences, and AI research communities to promote innovation and thought leadership.
• And other duties as assigned.

What to Bring:

• Bachelor's Master's in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or a related technical field.  Master's Degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in AI/ML, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven success applying AI, machine learning, and generative/agentic AI in commercial software products.
• Strong understanding of AI tooling, infrastructure, and cloud-native AI/ML pipelines.
• Experience working in or with companies in the energy sector, or with software designed for industrial domains.
• Demonstrated ability to build and lead multidisciplinary teams.
• Track record of delivering AI-based solutions with real-world business impact.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience presenting to executive leadership.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with AI agents, autonomous systems, or decision intelligence.
• Familiarity with energy industry data types, standards, and use cases (e.g., grid management, asset performance, forecasting).
• Knowledge of MLOps, data governance, and responsible AI practices.

• Visa Sponsorship: Employment eligibility to work with Quorum Software in India is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for this position.
