The Virtual Builder – Operations cluster at vConstruct enables global construction projects through Project Information Management, Change Management, BIM Coordination, Design & Constructability Reviews, and Closeout Management.

As a Senior Project Engineer, you are expected to grow quickly into leading the delivery of workflows for projects, act as a Project Coach for smaller teams, and support process development initiatives. This role blends technical depth, project execution, and mentoring, making it an ideal next step for professionals ready to grow into leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery & Team

  • Lead execution of Information management, change management, BIM coordination, and design review workflows.
  • Understanding project requirements and translating them into a clear, actionable execution plan, track progress and ensure quality delivery.
  • Provide constructability insights and contribute to change/variance analysis.
  • Grow into the role of Project Coach on projects, ensuring predictable outcomes.
  • Manage Quality on Projects and Process
  • Monitor and compare planned versus actual project costs, update forecasts regularly, and report variances to ensure effective budget management on the project.
  • Proactively identify project risks, assess their potential impact, and escalate issues early on to support timely mitigation and smooth project execution.

Customer Engagement

  • Support client-facing interactions, clarify requirements, and align deliverables with expectations.
  • Build trust with clients through reliable delivery and proactive communication.

People Development

  • Mentor Project Engineers and new team members on workflows and tools.
  • Provide feedback, guidance, and technical coaching to build team capability.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and accountable team culture.

Process & Innovation

  • Identify and suggest improvements to workflows and tools.
  • Partner with internal innovation teams to pilot automation or AI-enabled solutions.
  • Document lessons learned and contribute to standardizing best practices.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
  • 3–7 years of experience in construction operations (document management, BIM coordination, change management, or closeout).
  • In-depth expertise in building systems and proficiency with tools such as Revit, Navisworks, Revizto, BIM 360/ACC, and Procore.
  • Decent Understanding of Planning, Estimating and construction Systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of project delivery.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Interest in mentoring and process development.
