Requirements
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Surgeon to join our medical team. This role is open to fresh graduates as well as experienced professionals who have completed their medical education and specialized training in Orthopedics. As an Orthopedic Surgeon, you will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing conditions related to the musculoskeletal system including bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, and muscles. You will play a key role in ensuring patients regain mobility, function, and quality of life through surgical and non-surgical interventions.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Assessment & Diagnosis
- Conduct physical examinations and review medical histories to assess orthopedic conditions.
- Interpret diagnostic tests such as X-rays, MRI, CT scans, and laboratory results to identify injuries or disorders.
- Diagnose musculoskeletal issues including fractures, arthritis, sports injuries, and congenital deformities.
- Treatment & Surgery
- Develop individualized treatment plans, including surgical and non-surgical options.
- Perform orthopedic surgeries such as fracture fixation, joint replacements, arthroscopy, and corrective procedures.
- Prescribe medication, rehabilitation exercises, and physiotherapy where appropriate.
- Ensure post-operative care, monitor recovery, and address complications when they arise.
- Patient Care & Counseling
- Educate patients and families about orthopedic conditions, treatment options, and preventive care.
- Provide guidance on lifestyle modifications and rehabilitation to aid recovery and improve long-term outcomes.
- Address patient concerns with empathy and professionalism.
- Collaboration & Teamwork
- Work in close collaboration with anesthesiologists, radiologists, physiotherapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Supervise and mentor interns, residents, or junior medical staff when required.
- Research & Development
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in orthopedic surgery, implants, and minimally invasive procedures.
- Engage in clinical research, contribute to case studies, and present findings when possible.
- Participate in workshops, seminars, and continuing medical education programs.
- Compliance & Safety
- Adhere to medical ethics, hospital protocols, and government regulations.
- Ensure patient safety by following sterilization standards, infection control protocols, and surgical best practices.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records, surgical notes, and treatment plans.
- MBBS with MS/DNB in Orthopedics from a recognized institution.
- 0–3 years of experience (freshers with strong academic credentials and training are encouraged to apply).
- Knowledge of orthopedic surgical procedures, musculoskeletal anatomy, and trauma management.
- Proficiency in interpreting diagnostic imaging and laboratory tests.
- Strong manual dexterity, precision, and stamina for surgical procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and critical decision-making ability.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trust with patients and collaborate with healthcare teams.
