Role Overview
The HR Manager will be responsible for championing payroll administration, enforcing statutory and legal requirements, labour management, and ensuring adherence to all HR and compliance standards for the factory and office operations. The role directly reports to senior management and acts as an interface between the workforce, regulatory authorities, and company leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Payroll Management
Supervise accurate, timely payroll processing for all employees, ensuring compliance with statutory deductions like PF, ESI, and TDS. - Factory Act Compliance
Implement and monitor practices in line with the Factories Act, including safety standards, working hours, leave, and record-keeping. - Contract Labour Management
Oversee registration, license renewal, documentation, and attendance of contract labourers as per the Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition) Act. - Labour Laws
Ensure the company adheres to applicable labour laws (e.g., Industrial Disputes Act, Minimum Wages Act, Payment of Wages Act), updating internal policies as needed. - PF & ESI
Manage Provident Fund and Employee State Insurance registrations, deductions, filings, withdrawals, and employee grievance handling relating to statutory benefits. - Audit Management
Prepare documentation, records, and statutory registers for internal and external HR/labour audits; liaise with auditors; close audit observations. - Statutory Compliance
Maintain all statutory records, ensure timely submission of returns, and implement corrective actions for compliance gaps. - Policies and Procedures
Develop, implement, and regularly update HR policies, SOPs, and compliance frameworks in accordance with company and regulatory guidelines. - HR Compliance
Ensure the HR department functions within the ambit of all legal, regulatory, and company requirements; keep leadership updated on statutory changes. - Recruitment
Manage end-to-end recruitment, including manpower planning, job postings, screening, interviewing, offer process, and onboarding.
