About The Role
We are looking for a seasoned
EDI Test Engineer
with in-depth experience in the
US Healthcare domain
and strong hands-on skills in both
Functional and Automation testing
. The ideal candidate should have expertise in validating
HIPAA EDI transactions
, ensuring compliance with healthcare data standards, and collaborating across teams to deliver quality, compliant solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform Functional and Automation testing for EDI transactions within US Healthcare systems.

  • Validate and verify HIPAA EDI transactions such as:

  • 837 – Claims

  • 835 – Payments/Remittance Advice
  • 270/271 – Eligibility Inquiry and Response

  • 276/277 – Claim Status Inquiry and Response

  • Collaborate closely with developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and define effective test strategies.

  • Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using tools such as Selenium or Tosca.
  • Execute test cases, analyze results, identify defects, and document findings using test management tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM).
  • Conduct regression, integration, and end-to-end testing across multiple systems.
  • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with healthcare and HIPAA standards.
  • Participate in production validation and post-deployment testing activities.
  • Continuously improve test coverage, automation efficiency, and testing processes.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 6–12 years of total experience in QA/Testing, with strong hands-on experience in EDI Testing (Functional and Automation).
  • Proven expertise in the US Healthcare domain, including working knowledge of HIPAA transactions (837, 835, 270/271, 276/277).
  • Proficiency in Selenium or Tosca for test automation.
  • Strong understanding of Functional testing, test case design, and defect lifecycle management.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL for data validation and backend testing.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
