Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and bake a wide variety of breads, cakes, pastries, cookies, and desserts.
  • Develop new recipes and seasonal menu items to enhance offerings.
  • Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of baked items.
  • Manage ingredient inventory, order supplies, and minimize wastage.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and baking area.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
  • Train, guide, and supervise junior kitchen staff or assistants.
  • Collaborate with management on menu planning and special promotions.
  • Monitor baking processes and make necessary adjustments to achieve desired results.
  • Maintain equipment in good working condition and report maintenance needs.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Bakery Chef, Pastry Chef, or similar role.
  • Professional certification or diploma in Bakery & Confectionery (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and flavor combinations.
  • Creativity and ability to develop innovative recipes.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality.
  • Teamwork and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
