Motor Claims Manager

Role & responsibilities
- Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of claim processors, surveyors, and support staff to ensure seamless claims settlement.
- Claims Processing: Oversee the end-to-end claim life cycle from registration, assessment, and documentation to final settlement.
- Vendor Coordination: Manage relationships with surveyors, garages, and loss assessors to ensure smooth and fair claim handling.
- Quality & Compliance: Ensure adherence to IRDAI regulations, company SOPs, and internal audit requirements.
- TAT & SLA Management: Monitor claim turnaround times and service level agreements, driving continuous improvement in efficiency and accuracy.
- Data & Analytics: Track claim trends, analyze data for fraud detection, and identify opportunities for process optimization.
- Customer Experience: Ensure empathetic, transparent, and timely claim resolutions to drive superior customer satisfaction.
- Automation & Technology: Work with the product and tech teams to identify automation opportunities and digital tools that enhance claim processing.
- Cost Management: Monitor and control claim costs, identify leakages, and implement corrective actions.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with underwriting, finance, compliance, and product teams for smooth inter-departmental coordination.
Preferred candidate profile
- Graduate / Postgraduate in any discipline.
- 5-9 years of experience in Motor Claims, preferably in an Insurance company.
- Strong understanding of motor claim processes, garage networks, and surveyor management.
- Working knowledge of IRDAI regulations and claim-related compliance requirements.
- Experience in process reengineering and claims automation will be an added advantage.
