Role & responsibilities

  • Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of claim processors, surveyors, and support staff to ensure seamless claims settlement.
  • Claims Processing: Oversee the end-to-end claim life cycle from registration, assessment, and documentation to final settlement.
  • Vendor Coordination: Manage relationships with surveyors, garages, and loss assessors to ensure smooth and fair claim handling.
  • Quality & Compliance: Ensure adherence to IRDAI regulations, company SOPs, and internal audit requirements.
  • TAT & SLA Management: Monitor claim turnaround times and service level agreements, driving continuous improvement in efficiency and accuracy.
  • Data & Analytics: Track claim trends, analyze data for fraud detection, and identify opportunities for process optimization.
  • Customer Experience: Ensure empathetic, transparent, and timely claim resolutions to drive superior customer satisfaction.
  • Automation & Technology: Work with the product and tech teams to identify automation opportunities and digital tools that enhance claim processing.
  • Cost Management: Monitor and control claim costs, identify leakages, and implement corrective actions.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with underwriting, finance, compliance, and product teams for smooth inter-departmental coordination.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Graduate / Postgraduate in any discipline.
  • 5-9 years of experience in Motor Claims, preferably in an Insurance company.
  • Strong understanding of motor claim processes, garage networks, and surveyor management.
  • Working knowledge of IRDAI regulations and claim-related compliance requirements.
  • Experience in process reengineering and claims automation will be an added advantage.
