ETP Operator

Job Summary:

The ETP Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining the Effluent Treatment Plant to ensure wastewater is treated according to environmental and statutory standards.

Key Responsibilities:1. Operation & Monitoring

• Operate pumps, blowers, mixers, valves, and other ETP equipment.
• Monitor flow rates, pH, TSS, COD, BOD, and other wastewater parameters.
• Check chemical dosing levels and adjust as needed.
• Maintain log sheets and daily plant operation records.

2. Treatment Process Management

• Ensure proper functioning of primary, secondary, and tertiary treatment processes.
• Handle sludge dewatering, filter press operation, and sludge disposal.
• Ensure treated water meets pollution control norms.

3. Maintenance

• Perform routine inspection and basic maintenance of ETP machinery.
• Report breakdowns and coordinate with maintenance teams.
• Keep equipment clean and operational.

4. Safety & Compliance

• Follow safety guidelines and use appropriate PPE.
• Ensure compliance with local pollution control board standards.
• Assist during audits and inspections.

5. Documentation

• Maintain records of chemical consumption, test results, and operational data.
• Prepare daily/weekly reports for management.

Skills & Qualifications Required:

• ITI / Diploma in Chemical, Mechanical, or relevant field (preferred).
• 3–8 years of experience in ETP/STP operation.
• Basic knowledge of wastewater treatment processes.
• Ability to read gauges, meters, and instruments.
• Good understanding of safety procedures.

Pay: ₹8, ₹33,403.60 per month
