Job Summary

TERI is seeking a highly skilled and experienced consultant, who will work on a comprehensive project on Energy Storage for Renewable Energy Integration with a focus on policy and regulatory framework, feasibility studies for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), techno-economic analysis, training & capacity building. The Project Consultant will advise project team for successful implementation and collaborate with multiple consortium partners and industry stakeholders to advance the integration of BESS for selected applications at the distribution level and training & capacity building.

Key Responsibilities

  • The consultant will work with project team for alignment with key deliverables, timelines, and objectives.
  • Monitoring & evaluation of project deliverables and ensure smooth project execution.
  • Provide guidance in identifying and analysing gaps within the policy and regulatory framework for energy storage system (ESS) integration.
  • Lead design and implementation of Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) frameworks, indicators, and methodologies for energy storage projects.
  • Conduct performance tracking and impact assessment to evaluate project outcomes and effectiveness.
  • Guidance for organizing stakeholder consultations and engagement with government agencies, industry partners, and technical experts.
  • Review and provide input on the quality, accuracy, and consistency of all project deliverables, reports, and recommendations.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior team members to ensure high-quality output and professional growth.
  • Conduct periodic project reviews, identify lessons learned, and recommend adaptive measures for improvement.
  • Review and assess the work of all project team members, providing feedback and guidance to maintain quality and alignment with project goals.

Qualification

  • Bachelor-s degree in electrical/ Energy Systems / Renewable Energy.
  • Master-s degree in electrical/ management studies / Energy Systems / Renewable Energy.

Skills

Key Skills

  • Strong expertise in the renewable energy sector.
  • Sound knowledge of energy storage systems and RE technologies.
  • Proven experience in policy and regulatory framework development for power and ESS sectors.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Experience in risk management- monitoring & evaluation- and timely project delivery.
