Job Title: Sr. BPE - US Accounting

Location: Pune work from Office

Department: F&A KPO

Job Type: Full time

Work Shift: 8 PM IST to 5 AM IST (Night Shift)

Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Sr. Resource US Accounting to join our growing finance team. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of US GAAP, Sales Tax compliance, and hands-on expertise in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for guiding a team and collaborating with clients and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage client accountants handling US-based clients and accounting processes.
• Process day-to-day accounting activities including AP, AR, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
• Review and prepare Sales Tax filings across multiple US states in compliance with applicable tax laws.
• Act as a point of contact for escalations and resolve complex accounting or system issues.
• Provide coaching, guidance, and regular feedback to team members to support performance and development.
• Collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams to ensure deliverables and SLAs are met.
• Prepare financial reports, reconciliations, and supporting schedules for management and audit requirements.
• Assist in streamlining and improving accounting systems and processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in US accounting.
• Proficient in QuickBooks Online (QBO) certification is a plus.
• Strong understanding of US Sales Tax regulations and filing processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to interact confidently with US clients.
• Hands-on experience with reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with clients in multiple US states or industries (e.g., eCommerce, SaaS, retail).
• Familiarity with other accounting platforms (e.g., Xero, NetSuite) is a bonus.
• Previous BPO or outsourcing firm experience handling US accounting work.
