Job title: IT Security Analyst

Experience: 2-4 years

Site: Hyderabad (Work from Office)

Key Responsibilities

Security Monitoring & Incident Management

  • Monitor network and system logs to identify unusual or unauthorized activity.
  • Investigate, document, and respond to security incidents or data breaches.
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and recommend mitigation measures.
  • Collaborate with IT and DevOps to patch vulnerabilities promptly.

Access & Identity Management

  • Manage access controls across systems (Google Workspace, BigQuery, AWS, internal tools).
  • Conduct periodic access reviews and ensure proper onboarding/offboarding processes.
  • Maintain compliance with least privilege and need-to-know principles.

Policy Enforcement & Compliance

  • Implement and maintain security policies, SOPs, and incident response procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to GDPR, ISO 27001, and organizational data governance standards.
  • Conduct regular internal audits and assist in external security assessments.

Security Awareness & Training

  • Drive cybersecurity awareness programs for employees (phishing, password hygiene, data protection).
  • Provide technical guidance to IT and functional teams on secure configurations.

Network & Endpoint Security

  • Monitor firewall, antivirus, and endpoint protection systems.
  • Oversee network configuration and ISP-level security controls.
  • Support secure configuration for company devices, VPNs, and wireless networks.

Risk Management & Reporting

  • Conduct periodic risk assessments and identify potential vulnerabilities. Develop mitigation strategies and present findings to management.
  • Prepare monthly security reports summarizing alerts, incidents, and compliance metrics.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and endpoint security tools.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace Admin Console, AWS IAM, BigQuery, and SaaS security.
  • Hands-on with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sumo Logic, or similar).
  • Knowledge of incident response frameworks and data privacy laws (GDPR).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Certifications (preferred but not mandatory):

CompTIA Security+

Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)

Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer

  • 24 years of experience in IT security, network administration, or incident management.
