  • Understand business-requirements from functional specification documents provided by clients
  • Participate in client calls, seeks clarifications and provide necessary inputs to the clients
  • Design end to end solutions from a technical perspective and develop technical specification documents
  • Provide estimates for completing the build of solutions
  • Develop software programs and applications using SAP and ABAP programming codes
  • Understand and adhere to the clients coding standards
  • Perform unit testing to test the developed programs and applications
  • Support the client functional teams during testing phase with creation of test cases and address any follow up questions
  • Resolve code defects logged by clients functional team
  • Follow up with client's team to get testing sign off and project closure
  • Able to work on multiple project assignments
  • Research and find technology related solutions to complex business problems independently
  • Continuously aim to improve SAP ABAP skills
  • Mentor junior staff consultantRole & responsibilities

Preferred candidate profile

  • 2 or more years of SAP ABAP coding experience
  • ABAP coding skills using Object Oriented programming
  • Able to transform business function requirements into technical program specs to code, test and debug programs
  • Experience in developing Reports (ALV/Classical), Interfaces (ALE/IDOC, BAPI), enhancements (User Exits, BADI's, Enhancement spots), Forms (Smart Forms)
  • Has experience in developing custom applications in ABAP including dialog programming
  • Understanding of Order to Cash (SD) and Pay to Procure (MM) processes in SAP
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to write technical specifications
  • Ability to debug ABAP programs
  • Experience in ECC 6.0 or SAP S/4 HANA
  • SAP ABAP certification good to have but not mandatory if can demonstrate experience
