Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a z/OS Systems Programmer based in Pune. The z/OS Systems Programmer will be responsible for managing and supporting the mainframe environment, including system maintenance, configuration, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting. The responsibilities include installing, upgrading, and managing z/OS operating systems, assisting with system-related issues, optimizing system performance, and ensuring system security. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to address technical problems and provide proactive technical support is an essential part of the role.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Systems Programming, including mainframe operating system installation and management
  • Strong skills in Technical Support and Troubleshooting to address and resolve system-related issues effectively
  • Thorough knowledge of Operating Systems with an emphasis on z/OS
  • Experience with Programming to develop and maintain system-related scripts/tools
  • Ability to work in an on-site role and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Relevant professional certifications in mainframe systems are an advantage
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
