Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and engineering of high-tension (HT) transmission lines and substations for solar power projects under open access schemes.
  • Prepare and review detailed electrical layouts, single-line diagrams (SLD), and general arrangement drawings for substations (33/11 kV, 132/33 kV, etc.).
  • Conduct electrical system studies, including load flow, short-circuit, and relay coordination analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, local grid codes, and regulatory requirements (CEA, CERC, SERC, DISCOM norms).
  • Manage a team of design engineers and coordinate with procurement, construction, and project management teams for equipment selection and design approvals.
  • Review vendor drawings and technical specifications for HT and substation equipment.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. A Master's degree would be an advantage.
  • 5-7 years of experience in HT transmission line and substation design, with prior experience in solar projects under open access.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, PLS-CADD, ETAP, or other design and simulation software.
  • Strong knowledge of grid connectivity standards and regulatory norms in Maharashtra.
  • Experience in leading design teams and collaborating across multiple departments.
  • Familiarity with DISCOM, transmission utility, and open access regulatory processes.
