We are looking for an experienced IoT Senior Field Engineer with 5+ years of hands-on expertise in IoT, instrumentation, and industrial automation. The role involves installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and lifecycle support for IoT-enabled systems across industrial environments. The candidate must be skilled in field instrumentation, sensor integration, industrial communication protocols, and basic MES workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and commission IoT devices, sensors, controllers, and instrumentation at client sites.
  • Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and system health checks.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, electrical, networking, and communication issues.
  • Integrate field devices with gateways, PLCs, SCADA, and MES platforms.
  • Work with industrial protocols such as Modbus, OPC-UA, MQTT, Ethernet/IP, and RS485.
  • Handle data acquisition, device provisioning, and edge/cloud connectivity.
  • Prepare service reports, documentation, wiring diagrams, and test records.
  • Coordinate with MES/Automation teams for smooth data flow to MES.
  • Train operators and maintenance teams on system usage and basic troubleshooting.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and client operational guidelines.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in IoT or Instrumentation field engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of sensors, transmitters, controllers, PLC interfaces, and industrial wiring.
  • Experience with IIoT deployments and field communication protocols.
  • Working understanding of MES (tags, mapping, workflows, dataflow).
  • Ability to conduct site surveys and read wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and technical documents.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, reporting, and client communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation or Mechanical engineering fields.
  • Certifications in IoT, Automation, or MES are a plus.

Work Environment

  • Field-based role with frequent travel to client sites.
  • On-site survey, installation, testing, commissioning, and support in industrial settings.
