Qualifications

  • Education: A Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is mandatory

Experience:

  • Minimum of 20+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles.
  • At least 5 years in a senior leadership position (e.g., Head of Finance, Financial Controller, or CFO), preferably within the manufacturing industry in India.
  • Proven experience in managing a full-service finance department, including accounting, treasury, and taxation.
  • Skills:
  • Exceptional knowledge of Indian tax laws and financial regulations.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute the company's financial strategy, including long-term financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation.
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Oversee all financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Indian GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards). Analyse financial data to provide actionable insights to the leadership team.
  • Treasury & Cash Flow Management: Manage the company's treasury function, including cash flow forecasting, working capital management, and banking relationships to optimize liquidity and financial stability.
  • Risk Management & Compliance: Identify and mitigate financial risks. Ensure full compliance with all Indian tax laws (e.g., GST, corporate tax), SEBI regulations, and other relevant legal and statutory requirements.
  • Capital Management: Lead fundraising activities, manage investor relations, and advise on capital structure decisions to support business expansion and strategic initiatives.
  • Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead the finance and accounting teams, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
