ETL Tester (6+ Years Experience)

Immediate Joiner

Hybrid - Pune, Mumbai, Bangalore, Noida

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test cases to validate data ingestion and transformation processes from various source systems (SQL databases, APIs, flat files, etc.) to the Databricks UAP platform.
  • Perform schema validation, data completeness, transformation logic, and row-level reconciliation between source and target datasets.
  • Review Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and create detailed Test Plans, Test Scenarios, and Test Cases accordingly.
  • Conduct data quality and integrity checks across multiple environments and ensure accurate end-to-end data flow validation.
  • Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Data Engineers, and Developers to understand data mappings, transformation logic, and business rules.
  • Log, track, and verify defects through the Defect Life Cycle, ensuring timely resolution and maintaining high software quality standards.
  • Prepare and present detailed test reports, metrics, and validation summaries to stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in ETL / Data Warehouse testing.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SQL for complex data validation and reconciliation queries.
  • Experience testing data pipelines built on Databricks, Azure, AWS, or similar cloud platforms.
  • Understanding of data transformation logic, data modeling concepts, and data governance.
  • Proficient in Defect Management Tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps) and Test Management Tools.
