Purpose of the Role:

  • Design and development of special execution/customization project & Release of BOM of HMC machines as per pre-scopes ( 1a/1b)
  • Resolve the machine related warranty complaints in all special execution/customization project of HMC machines.
  • Cost reduction/estimation activities of special execution/customization project HMC machines
  • Incorporate new additional design features to enhance the machine performance

Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Creating design concept of special execution/customization project Horizontal Machining Centre machines
  • Study the Machine Structure for casting & Part Manufacturing modifications
  • Prepare the cost estimation for tender inquiry
  • Creating components ( Casting, machining & Sheetmetal ) and assembly 3D model and detailing
  • Address the FMD in the design to make it Zero Defect Product
  • Selection of Long-Lead items (Bought outs)
  • Checking the model and drawings with checklist for NPD machines
  • Prepare 3D Virtual checklist for 3D model checking (Model stage)
  • Prepare interaction flow chart for Sub assembly checking (Model stage)
  • Creating bill of materials ( BOM )
  • Drawings are released through PLM
  • DEMS Preparation based on customer complaints
  • Raising Engineering Change Order ( ECO )& Implementing them for Design Improvements
  • Preparation of Test Chart
  • Release of updated drawing and BOM for pilot batch
  • Following the TQM initiatives in my work place
