This is a full-time position with D Square Consulting Services Pvt Ltd

Required Experience - 3+ years

Location – Bangalore

Work Mode - Work from the office

Job Summary:

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the accounting operations of the company, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information, and providing strategic insights to senior management. This role requires expertise in financial reporting, compliance, budget management, and operational efficiency within the luggage or consumer goods sector.

Qualifications and skills:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting required (Masters preferred)
  • 3+ years experience in general or tax accounting
  • 3+years of experience in finance & accounts role
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, including IFRS standards.
  • Proficiency in preparing journal entries, bank reconciliations, general ledger accounting, accruals, RTR.
  • Experience with computerized ledger systems
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel & TALLY ERP 9.0 MUST
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Tally, Zoho) and MS Office (Advanced Excel).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to function well in a team-oriented environment
  • Excellent analytical, and problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Roles & Responsibility:

  1. Financial Reporting and Analysis:

  2. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).

  3. Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for cost optimization.
  4. Provide detailed variance analysis and explanations to management.

  5. Ensure all financial statements comply with IFRS, GAAP, and local accounting standards.

  6. General Ledger Management:

  7. Oversee general ledger entries and ensure proper recording of transactions.

  8. Review and approve journal entries for accuracy and completeness.

  9. Reconcile bank accounts, inter company transactions, and balance sheet accounts.

  10. Budgeting and Forecasting:

  11. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.

  12. Monitor and track actual performance against budget, identifying and reporting on significant variances.

  13. Provide insights into cost management and profitability optimization.

  14. Accounts Payable & Receivable:

  15. Supervise the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing.

  16. Ensure compliance with payment terms and resolve any discrepancies with vendors and customers.

  17. Monitor cash flow and manage working capital effectively.

  18. Audit and Compliance:

  19. Coordinate with external auditors for the annual audit process.

  20. Ensure adherence to internal controls, tax compliance, and company policies.
  21. Prepare tax returns and liaise with tax authorities as required.
