Role & responsibilities

1 Focus and drive internal systems and processes of the organization as per SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) to achieve ROCE, PBT and FCF; Drive all planned cost reduction initiatives (inventory control : RM, WIP and FG), manpower optimization, resource utilization, defect elimination, variable cost (power, fuel, consumable, yield and tools packing), optimization of cost of marketing, maintenance, administrative activities, etc.) as per the timeline and present the results / outcome of it during Monthly Management Review Meeting and ensure the implementation of action points as per plan

2 Prepare annual manufacturing / operations budget ; forecast business for capital expenditure proposals ; ensure compliance with legal standards and manage the budget from identification to completion of various business development and process improvement projects as per the timeline ; Guide the team members to focus on cost control initiatives with strategic planning ; Initiate and drive the implementation of outsourcing activities and optimize cost of manufacturing and operating cost of the plant through structure programs in waste elimination and establish a continuous improvement culture by adopting lean principles

3 Drive performance indicators across all areas of the manufacturing function to ensure that all projects are delivered within the budgeted cost, and specified time while achieving the quality standards required by the customers ; establish a strong safety culture and ensure health, safety and environmental issues are resolved and addressed on top priority ; direct and drive implementation of 'Digitization' appropriately, to improve the overall efficiency of the internal systems and processes in all areas of manufacturing

4 Establish and nurture Lean culture till it gains strong roots ; ensure flawless implementation of manufacturing strategies ; ensure establishment of robust processes that will enable meeting business objectives and operational needs of the organization (in terms of safety, productivity, quality, volumes, cost and delivery targets) and thereby enabling the company to function and compete effectively in the market

5 Provide inputs during the design of new products from the manufacturing perspective ; facilitate and support the design team in adopting the 'design to manufacture' approach in the new product development, as well as in maintaining the quality, target cost, safety requirements thereby achieving environmental standards

6 Develop objectives and goals for international market sales and net revenue for all export activities ; implement new product launches to achieve all sales objectives and administer all merchandise for group brands ; design all required sales and marketing program for assigned territories ; continuously and proactively update knowledge and awareness on competitor products ; ensure participation in various exhibitions and seminars ; organize field testing of all new products and feedback to the design and manufacturing teams; organize for training employees develop and enhance competencies to consistently achieve business goals and targets

7 Drive flawless execution of organizational strategy by identifying opportunities in new segments / areas in the market to impact business growth through improved sales volumes and Free Cash Flow (FCF), in-line with the annual business plans ; Direct existing plants to improve on their productivity by outsourcing products which are not meeting MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity), Contribution and Capacity in order to eliminate loss of business for the company

8 Formulate and implement sales strategies to bring enhanced revenue generation to the business, increase in PBT, report sales strategy, successes, challenges and opportunities to senior management during sales and operations review meeting ; Review all sales activities for all export products of organization and ensure achievement of all export sales target ; analyse company objectives, negotiate on prices, maintain knowledge on competitor strategies and market activities, monitor company distributors, assign territories and ensure regular interactions with customers

9 Demonstrate the efficient functioning of vendor management system; allocation of SoB as per policy of the organization ; review vendor performance ; enhance quality of products through vendor performance reports ; maintain effective relationships with vendors ; facilitate knowledge sharing with vendors and develop new vendors to meet business needs / requirements

10 Organize leadership development and coaching initiatives to the team to enable them succeed in their roles ; provide the best-in-class facilities to train them well in the modern manufacturing systems and techniques in order to enable them in achieving the operational and financial metrics within their areas of responsibility and within specified timelines; Create Future Leaders as part of succession planning

Preferred candidate profile

B E (Mech) / MBA (Opns and Finance Yrs exp

1. Proven leadership and management skills with the ability to optimize team performance and development

2. Relationship management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate and manage key suppliers / vendors

3. Results orientated with ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines

4. Commercially and financially astute with experience of managing budgets

5. Communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
