About The Role
The IT Governance Manager is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining governance, risk, and compliance frameworks across the organization's
cloud and AI platforms
. The role ensures alignment with
Group policies

UAE regulatory requirements

international standards

ISO 27001

NESA
, and
UAE PDPL
.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement IT governance, risk, and compliance policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Lead and manage IT audits, compliance assessments, and risk mitigation initiatives.
  • Oversee governance activities related to cloud infrastructure, AI systems, and data privacy.
  • Track, analyze, and report IT performance metrics, risk registers, and compliance KPIs.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity, cloud, and data teams to ensure adherence to internal and external regulations.
  • Support continuous improvement of governance processes through automation and best practices.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of experience in IT governance, risk management, or compliance (preferably within cloud or healthcare domains).
  • Strong understanding of cloud security, data privacy, and UAE regulatory frameworks.
  • Certifications preferred: COBIT, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor, CISA, or equivalent.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Technical Skills

  • Cloud Platforms: Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud governance and compliance controls
  • Information Security Standards: ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls, ITIL, and COBIT frameworks
  • Risk Management: IT risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and reporting
  • Compliance & Audit: Experience with internal/external IT audits, regulatory compliance (UAE NESA, PDPL)
  • Data Privacy: Knowledge of GDPR, HIPAA (if in healthcare), and data protection impact assessments (DPIA)
  • Governance Tools: Archer GRC, ServiceNow GRC, MetricStream, or equivalent
  • Policy & Process Management: Developing and maintaining IT governance policies, SOPs, and control documentation
  • Performance Management: Establishing and monitoring IT KPIs, SLAs, and governance dashboards
  • Incident & Change Management: Familiarity with ITIL-based change, problem, and incident management processes
