Role & Responsibilities

As a Data & AI Engineer at Vanderlande, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for building and scaling our Azure-based data platform. Youll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact data products and AI solutions that support business decision-making and innovation.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and developing data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and PySpark
  • Building and deploying Machine Learning models using Python, SQL, and MLOps tools
  • Processing structured and unstructured data, including implementing RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) techniques
  • Setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for data and ML workloads
  • Ensuring data quality, platform performance, and compliance with security and governance standards
  • Integrating ML models into monitoring and testing frameworks for reliability and scalability
  • Collaborating with business and technical stakeholders in Agile teams to deliver data-driven solutions
  • Contributing to knowledge sharing, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives

Preferred Candidate Profile

We are looking for a passionate and skilled professional who can bridge the gap between data engineering and AI innovation.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or similar roles
  • A Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related fields
  • Strong programming skills in Python, PySpark, and SQL
  • Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services, Databricks, and data pipeline development
  • Solid understanding of Machine Learning concepts (e.g., regression, classification) and MLOps practices
  • Experience with GenAI, RAG, Vector Databases, and Large Language Models (LLMs)
  • Familiarity with LLM frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or DSPy
  • Exposure to CI/CD tools, DevOps practices, and cloud-based deployments
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Knowledge of low-code platforms like Power Platform and experience working in Agile environments
