Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior QC Executive to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality across all publishing deliverables. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of publishing workflows and the ability to identify errors quickly while maintaining high-quality output within deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough quality checks on typeset pages, manuscripts, eBooks, indexes, and other publishing files.
  • Spot and resolve layout, styling, formatting, consistency, and grammatical issues.
  • Ensure compliance with client guidelines, publishing standards, and workflow processes.
  • Collaborate with editors, paginators, indexers, and project managers to close QC feedback loops.
  • Support and mentor junior QC members as needed.
  • Complete QC tasks efficiently within project deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (English, Arts, or related field preferred).
  • 1.5+ years of experience in a publishing firm.
  • Strong Understanding of publishing workflows (typesetting, editing, indexing, PDF QC, and ePub QC) Preferable.
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to identify style, layout, and consistency issues quickly.
  • Good command of English grammar and formatting standards.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Adobe Acrobat, and standard proofreading tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work under deadlines, multitask, and consistently deliver high-quality results.
