JOB TITLE: IBMYP/DP Theatre / Drama teacher

COLLABORATES WITH: Art(s) departments. EY/MY/DP Teachers, Head of MY/EY, IB

Coordinators, ICT.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Teach academic drama classes.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


• Teaching MYP/DP Drama up to 20 periods per week.


• Coordinating performances with outside artists as and when required.


• Supporting students in independent performance-related projects.


• Promoting an inclusive and visible theatre community within the school that challenges students with a range of diverse and relevant projects and performances.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Degree in drama/theatre from a recognized university.

Experience teaching drama/theatre.

QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:

Familiarity and experience with a variety of theatre styles and traditions.

Desire to collaborate across disciplines with music, art, and other academic departments.

Active in theatre communities within India and/or abroad.
