DevOps Engineer (with DBA Expertise)

Location: Hyderabad / Gurgaon Experience: 5+ years

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with strong DBA expertise to manage and scale production systems deployed on Heroku, with integrations across AWS and Google services. The role will require a blend of DevOps automation skills and hands-on database administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage Heroku runtime environments, pipelines, and CLI administration.
  • Set up, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) for RoR applications.
  • Act as the primary DBA for PostgreSQL & Redis (performance tuning, backups, monitoring, scaling).
  • Manage AWS integrations (S3 for asset storage, CloudFront for CDN delivery).
  • Ensure data encryption at rest and in transit, security best practices, and DR readiness.
  • Implement infrastructure monitoring, logging, and alerting.
  • Automate deployments and configuration management using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent.
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure smooth releases and database migrations.
