Job Summary:
The Accounts Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the company's overall accounting, financial planning, compliance, and operational systems. The role requires strong financial acumen, regulatory knowledge (especially in the battery manufacturing sector), and leadership to ensure smooth business operations and compliance with statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Overall Company and Systems Management
- Manage and streamline operational and system-related functions across departments.
- Implement and maintain efficient financial and ERP systems to support business operations.
2. Compliance Management (Battery Industry)
- Ensure compliance with all statutory and industry-specific regulations related to the battery manufacturing sector.
- Maintain documentation and records as required by government and environmental authorities.
3. Accounting and Statutory Compliance
- Supervise all accounting functions including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and reconciliation.
- Ensure timely filing and compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory obligations.
4. Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)
- Prepare financial plans, forecasts, and projections.
- Conduct variance and ratio analysis to support decision-making and business strategy.
5. Inventory and Budgetary Control
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure effective stock management to minimize costs.
- Prepare and manage annual budgets; analyze deviations and recommend corrective actions.
6. Compliance with Environmental and Electricity Regulations
- Ensure company adherence to all environmental norms, pollution control board standards, and electricity regulations.
7. Coordination with Internal and External Auditors
- Facilitate audit processes by providing accurate data and required documentation.
- Implement audit recommendations for improved financial control.
8. Bank Liaison
- Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions.
- Oversee loan documentation, fund flow management, and day-to-day banking operations.
9. Reporting and Analysis
- Prepare daily MIS reports and present key financial insights to management.
- Conduct variance analysis between actual and projected financial performance.
10. Financial Statement Preparation
- Prepare and finalize financial statements in accordance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS).
11. Coordination and Meetings
- Ensure smooth communication and coordination among staff, workers, and departments.
- Conduct daily/weekly review meetings with the Head Office to discuss financial and operational updates.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education:
M.Com / CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) or equivalent. - Experience:
Minimum 5–10 years of experience in accounting, finance, and compliance (manufacturing industry preferred). - Industry:
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the battery or electrical manufacturing industry.
Key Skills:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and compliance.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Excel.
- Analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
