Role Proficiency:

Independently develops error free code with high quality validation of applications guides other developers and assists Lead 1 – Software Engineering

Outcomes:

• Understand and provide input to the application/feature/component designs; developing the same in accordance with user stories/requirements.

• Code debug test document and communicate product/component/features at development stages.

• Select appropriate technical options for development such as reusing improving or reconfiguration of existing components.

• Optimise efficiency cost and quality by identifying opportunities for automation/process improvements and agile delivery models

• Mentor Developer 1 – Software Engineering and Developer 2 – Software Engineering to effectively perform in their roles

• Identify the problem patterns and improve the technical design of the application/system

• Proactively identify issues/defects/flaws in module/requirement implementation

• Assists Lead 1 – Software Engineering on Technical design. Review activities and begin demonstrating Lead 1 capabilities in making technical decisions

• Application Development o Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance Java/Spring Boot web applications. o Create RESTful APIs and microservices architecture with seamless integration to MongoDB. o Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.
• Technical Ownership o Collaborate with architects, product owners, and front-end teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. o Participate in all phases of the SDLC, including estimation, planning, development, testing, and deployment. o Ensure applications meet performance, security, and scalability requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications
• Core Expertise o Strong proficiency in Java (Java 8 or higher) and Spring Boot frameworks. o Hands-on experience with MongoDB, including schema design, indexing, and performance tuning. o In-depth knowledge of RESTful services, JSON, and microservices architecture. o Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and multi-threading.
• Development & Tools o Experience with build tools like Maven/Gradle and version control using Git. o Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes). o Knowledge of testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito) and application security practices.
• Soft Skills o Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or within a team. o Excellent communication and collaboration abilities in an Agile/Scrum environment.
