Job Purpose: This role is responsible to manage the optimal performance and reliability of Control & Instrumentation (C&I) systems for BTG (Boiler, Turbine, Generator) through vigilant maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting. This includes managing the healthiness of C&I parameters, providing rapid response to emergencies, and maintaining equipment such as Motor Operated Valves (MOVs) and Flue Gas Discharge (FGD) systems.

Responsibilities

Shift Engineer

  • Handle C&I shift duty and responsible to attend defects of Boiler & TG area during shift.
  • Ensure safety by using PPE's before taking up the job. 
  • Ensure permit to work issue with proper isolation.
  • Coordinate or follow up with department for any interface problems. 
  • Knowledge of SAP.
  • Maintenance of MOV and PCV in boiler area and its control associated with Foxboro DCS & PLC.
  • Good Process knowledge.
  • No logic change without prior approval. 
  • Quick response in emergencies
  • Ensure timely light up of units after S/D and overhauling.
  • Ensure calibration of the instruments as per the PM Schedule. 
  • Knowledge sharing with subordinates.
  • Timely & proper feedback to superior.
Qualifications

Educational Qualification:

Bachelor's degree in C&I or Electronics & Communication or equivalent degree.

Work Experience (Range of years):

2+ years of experience in power plant operations or maintenance, with specific exposure to BTG (Boiler, Turbine, Generator) and C&I (Control & Instrumentation) systems.

Preferred Industry:

Experience in the power generation industry, particularly in thermal power plants with knowledge of DCS, FGD systems, and safety protocols.
