Job Summary:

The Senior Chef is responsible for overseeing day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, maintaining hygiene standards, and managing kitchen staff efficiently. The role involves menu planning, inventory control, cost management, and ensuring customer satisfaction through consistent culinary excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate kitchen operations and food preparation activities.
  • Plan and develop new menus, dishes, and seasonal specials in collaboration with the Head Chef.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared, cooked, and presented to high-quality standards.
  • Train, mentor, and manage junior chefs, cooks, and kitchen assistants.
  • Monitor kitchen hygiene, food safety, and sanitation standards (HACCP compliance).
  • Control food cost, minimize waste, and manage portion control.
  • Maintain inventory levels and place orders for supplies as needed.
  • Ensure timely service and smooth coordination between kitchen and service staff.
  • Handle guest feedback related to food quality and make improvements where necessary.
  • Stay updated with culinary trends, techniques, and innovations.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Diploma/Degree in Catering and Hotel Management.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in a professional kitchen, including at least 3 years in a senior role.
  • Strong knowledge of international and regional cuisines.
  • Expertise in kitchen management, menu design, and food costing.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
  • Certification in Food Safety & Hygiene is an added advantage.

Skills Required:

  • Expertise in Vegetarian Chettinad cuisine
  • Experience in handling kitchen and canteen operations
  • Ability to maintain proper hygiene and cleanliness standards
  • Knowledge in preparing food and snacks as per management requirements.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30, ₹45,000.00 per month
