ROLE

Level: Consultant

As a Consultant at Deloitte Consulting, you will be responsible for individually delivering high quality work products within due timelines using agile frameworks. You will also be responsible for mentoring junior team members and liaising with onsite & offshore teams to understand functional requirements.

You will also be responsible to analyze client migration requirements and apply the right migration archetype pattern to realize the cloud migration journey.

The work you will do includes:

• Understanding client  on prem infra and application land scape, working with architects and tech leads to identify the right migration approach and completing the activities needed to migrate the application and infrastructure to target cloud
• Writing well-formatted, efficient, reusable, and well-documented code maintaining industry standards, ensuring code quality and code coverage adherence, as well as debugging and resolving any issues/defects
• Participating in delivery processes like agile development and actively contributing to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
• Resolving issues or incidents reported by end users and escalating any quality issues or risks with team leads/scrum masters/project leaders

QUALIFICATIONS

Skills / Project Experience:

3+ years of full stack software development with an emphasis on architecting, designing, implementing, testing and delivering highly scalable web and client/server solutions.

Must Have:

• 3-6 years of hands-on experience in migrating application to cloud (multi-tenant cloud – AWS, Azure, GCP) either in Rehost, Replatform or Refactor
• Experience in programming using multiple languages like Java, Pyspark/Python, Java script, Terraform, AWS cloud formation templates, Power scripts etc.
• Experience in cloud native development on any of the cloud provider like AWS
• Experience in tools like SONAR, Junit, Logging Framework, Monitoring looks like Splunk, AppDynamics etc.
• Experience in accessing data from various sources like Database, S3 Data Store etc.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Flexibility to adapt, innovate and apply technical solutioning and learnings to use cases, across business domains and industries

Good to Have:

• Understanding of additional skills like containerization, container management tools
• Developer Certification in Programming languages, Infrastructure, Cloud Platforms
• Experience in application refactor approaches to make it cloud suitable
• Experience in JIRA
• In-depth knowledge of Java Microservices Event Driven Architecture
• High proficiency with Spring Framework, JMS, SOAP and REST web services.

Education: B.E./B. Tech/M.C.A./M.Sc. (CS) degree or equivalent from accredited university

Prior Experience:

3–6 years of experience working on large scale modernization engagements
