Job Description:

A Senior Electrician, or Sr. Electrician, is a skilled tradesperson who installs, maintains, and repairs electrical systems in various settings, including residential, commercial, and industrial. They possess advanced knowledge of electrical systems, safety regulations, and troubleshooting techniques, often leading or mentoring junior electricians. 

Key responsibilities of a Senior Electrician may include:
  • Installation and Maintenance: Installing wiring, electrical systems, lighting, and control systems in new and existing structures. 
     
  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults and malfunctions in various equipment and systems. 
     
  • Preventive Maintenance: Performing routine inspections and maintenance to prevent electrical issues and ensure system reliability. 
     
  • Safety Compliance: Ensuring all electrical work adheres to safety regulations, codes, and standards. 
     
  • Supervision and Mentorship: Leading or mentoring junior electricians, providing guidance and training. 
     
  • Documentation: Accurately documenting all electrical work, maintenance, and inspections. 
     
  • Collaboration: Working with other departments or teams to coordinate electrical projects and upgrades. 
     
  • Material Management: Ordering and managing electrical supplies and materials. 
     
  • Problem Solving: Utilizing problem-solving skills to address complex electrical issues and system failures. 
     
  • Staying Updated: Keeping up-to-date with the latest electrical technologies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
