Simulink Architect

Job Summary :We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Simulink Architect/Lead to spearhead the development and implementation of complex control systems and embedded software using MATLAB and Simulink. You will be responsible for defining system architectures, guiding development teams, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, robust solutions. • Define and develop system architectures using Simulink for control systems, embedded software, and related applications.
• Establish modeling standards and best practices for Simulink development.
• Design and implement modular and scalable Simulink models.
• Ensure system architectures meet performance, reliability, and safety requirements.

Model-Based Design and Development :

• Lead the development of Simulink models for control algorithms, signal processing, and system simulations.
• Implement and integrate Simulink models with hardware and software components.
• Develop and maintain model libraries and reusable components.
• Utilize Simulink toolboxes (e., Stateflow, Simscape, Embedded Coder) for advanced modeling and code generation.

Code Generation and Embedded Software Development :

• Configure and utilize Embedded Coder for automatic code generation from Simulink models.
• Integrate generated code with embedded systems and hardware platforms.
• Optimize generated code for performance and resource utilization.
• Develop and implement software-in-the-loop (SIL) and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing strategies.

Team Leadership and Mentoring :

• Lead and mentor a team of Simulink developers and engineers.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to modeling standards.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Project Management :

• Plan and manage Simulink development projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware, software, and systems engineers.
• Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders.

Testing and Validation :

• Develop and implement testing strategies for Simulink models and generated code.
• Conduct model verification and validation activities.
• Utilize Simulink Test and other testing tools for automated testing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve modeling and code generation issues.

Documentation and Reporting :

• Develop and maintain documentation for Simulink models, system architectures, and development processes.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.
• Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation.

Continuous Improvement :

• Stay up-to-date with the latest Simulink features, tools, and best practices.
• Research and evaluate new modeling techniques and technologies.
• Identify opportunities to improve Simulink development processes and workflows.

Qualifications :Education :

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience :

• 8 years of experience in Simulink modeling and development.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing complex control systems and embedded software using Simulink.
• Experience with Embedded Coder and automatic code generation.
• Experience with SIL and HIL testing.
• Experience in leading and mentoring technical teams.

Technical Skills :

• Expert-level knowledge of MATLAB and Simulink.
• Proficiency in using Simulink toolboxes (Stateflow, Simscape, Embedded Coder).
• Strong understanding of control systems, signal processing, and embedded software development.
• Experience with hardware integration and embedded systems.
• Knowledge of C/C++ programming languages.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e., Git).
