## **Job Profile: Project Manager – Industrial Construction**

The **Project Manager (Industrial Construction)** is responsible for the overall planning, execution, and successful completion of industrial construction projects. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality and safety standards. The Project Manager coordinates across multidisciplinary teams, clients, contractors, and vendors to achieve project objectives efficiently.

### **Key Responsibilities**

#### **1. Project Planning & Scheduling**

* Develop and implement detailed project execution plans, timelines, and milestones.

* Conduct site planning, including layout finalization, resource allocation, and work sequencing.

* Prepare and monitor project schedules using tools like MS Project / Primavera.

#### **2. Site Execution & Supervision**

* Oversee all on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with design, specifications, and safety standards.

* Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors for smooth execution of daily operations.

* Ensure adherence to project timelines and resolve site-related issues promptly.

#### **3. Cost Control & Monitoring**

* Prepare project budgets, cash flow projections, and track expenditures.

* Monitor cost deviations and implement corrective measures for cost optimization.

* Identify and execute cost-saving opportunities through efficient planning and resource utilization.

#### **4. Manpower Management**

* Plan and deploy manpower effectively based on project requirements.

* Supervise and motivate site teams to ensure high productivity and quality output.

* Conduct regular performance reviews and training sessions for workforce skill enhancement.

#### **5. Material Management**

* Plan, forecast, and ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials.

* Maintain optimal inventory levels to prevent material shortages or overstocking.

* Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams for vendor management and material cost control.

#### **6. Estimation & Billing**

* Review project estimates, BOQs, and rate analyses.

* Prepare and verify client and subcontractor bills as per work progress and contract terms.

* Support commercial teams in certification and approval of bills and claims.

#### **7. Client Coordination & Communication**

* Act as the single point of contact for the client regarding project progress, issues, and deliverables.

* Conduct regular progress meetings with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.

* Ensure transparent communication and maintain strong professional relationships with all stakeholders.

#### **8. Quality, Safety & Compliance**

* Ensure that all work complies with applicable codes, standards, and quality requirements.

* Implement and enforce site safety protocols to ensure a zero-incident environment.

* Coordinate inspections and approvals with consultants and regulatory bodies.

#### **9. Leadership & Teamwork**

* Lead cross-functional project teams and ensure coordination between departments.

* Foster a collaborative work culture, encouraging teamwork and accountability.

* Mentor junior engineers and staff to build future leadership capabilities.
