Job Summary
As a Sourcing Specialist, you will own a cost negotiation with suppliers according to Organization policies. You will ensure to achieve the best contractual conditions while also ensuring internal customer satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for preparing zero-based costing for parts, products, sub-assemblies and assemblies for the complete vehicle Bill of Materials (BOM), including mechanical, electrical, and electronic components.
  • Monitor, Control and reduce BOM cost & Tooling cost against the Org. Target cost throughout the Product development cycle by collaborating with stakeholders.
  • Identify and initiate actions to meet the optimum parts, product, sub assembly cost by identifying the gap between supplier quotes and zero-based costing and thro' data-driven negotiations with suppliers.
  • Establish a comprehensive database of competitive benchmark costs for parts, sub-assemblies, and assemblies.
  • Drive various cost reduction projects through idea generation events, benchmarking studies, teardown and competitor analysis.
  • Evaluate and propose alternative vendors for resourcing to meet cost targets effectively.
  • Take the lead in program budgeting during the development phase, working closely with various teams to conduct thorough due diligence on capex and opex budget requests, and conducting data-driven analysis to rationalize budgets.
  • Prepare business cases for projects involving significant capex and opex expenditures, critically evaluating them against strategic and financial parameters such as NPV, IRR, and Payback period.
  • Responsible for cost management by collaborating with relevant stakeholders to ensure accurate capture of all cost drivers influencing gross margin.
  • Lead multiple VAVE projects, and executing the initiatives in a timely manner to support business goals and Profit Plan objectives
  • Maintaining SAP attributes (price, pay terms, incoterms, lead-times, MoQs etc) for proper assignment of source rule to enable purchasing actions.

Requirements

  • Possess hands-on experience in zero-based costing for Electric Vehicles.
  • Have a strong knowledge of various Bill of Materials (BOMs) for vehicles.
  • Demonstrate excellent negotiation skills with a strong financial acumen.
  • Exhibit problem-solving and decision-making skills.
