Role Summary

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and supporting strategic decisions through accurate financial insights. This role plays a critical part in strengthening BharatRe's financial health, revenue governance, and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue Tracking & Analysis

  • Track, monitor, and validate revenue generated across all business verticals (Life, General, Health, Corporate).
  • Ensure accurate revenue recognition in line with IRDAI norms and internal compliance guidelines.
  • Verify brokerages, commissions, payouts, and revenue received from insurers.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue MIS and dashboards.
  • Analyse revenue performance trends and identify risks, gaps, or underperforming areas.
  • Coordinate with Client Servicing, Sales, and Insurer Relations teams to ensure timely revenue collection.
  • Assist finance team during audits, reconciliations, and insurer statement validations.
  • Evaluate product-wise, team-wise, and region-wise profitability.
  • Provide management with insights to support revenue growth and margin improvement.

Financial Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Develop and maintain annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
  • Perform variance analysis between actuals and budgeted financials.
  • Monitor expenses and support cost-control initiatives.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial MIS, dashboards, and board-level reports.
  • Analyse business performance, operating metrics, and financial trends.
  • Provide financial insights to support strategic initiatives, business expansion, and performance improvement.

Cash Flow, Audit & Compliance

  • Assist in investment planning, cash flow management, and working capital analysis.
  • Support statutory audits, internal audits, and compliance-related activities.
  • Ensure financial controls, process improvements, and risk mitigation measures are implemented.
  • Evaluate ROI for new business projects, partnerships, and strategic opportunities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • CA / ICWA / Inter – Level 2 and above preferred.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, or MBA – Finance.
  • 3–7 years of relevant experience (Insurance / Financial Services sector preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of financial modelling, forecasting, and advanced Excel.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
  • Excellent analytical, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of IRDAI financial norms is an added advantage.
