At Weaver, we are redefining affordable housing finance in India. Launched in 2025, we are not patching legacy systems; we are building the future from a clean slate. Backed by over $170M from leading investors like Lightspeed and Premji Invest, we have acquired two profitable NBFCs to solve the cold-start problem, giving us an established business and the capital to build the right way. Our mission is to leverage technology and data to make homeownership fast, transparent, and accessible for families in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆:

This is a rare chance to join the foundational team and build the core intelligence of a modern financial institution from scratch. As a Data Scientist, you will be a key contributor to building India's first AI-native housing finance platform. You will have an outsized influence on our most critical intellectual property: the AI models that power our credit decisioning, risk management, and operational efficiency. We are looking for a first-principles thinker who is excited to solve some of the most challenging and impactful problems in fintech today.

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀:

• Design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and highly available AWS infrastructure utilizing services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Lambda, and CloudFormation/Terraform.

• Implement and manage container orchestration platforms, primarily Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).

• Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD):

• Develop, maintain, and optimize robust CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline, or similar.

• Automate build, test, and deployment processes for microservices and monolithic applications.

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC):

• Proficiently use Terraform or AWS CloudFormation to provision and manage infrastructure in a repeatable, version-controlled manner.

• Implement configuration management using tools like Ansible or Chef to ensure environment consistency.

• Monitoring and Observability:

• Set up and manage comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK Stack to ensure high performance and availability.

• Proactively identify and address performance bottlenecks and system issues.

• Security and Compliance (DevSecOps):

• Integrate security practices into the CI/CD pipeline (Shift Left) by implementing static/dynamic application security testing (SAST/DAST).

• Enforce security best practices, including IAM policy management, VPC configuration, and secrets management (AWS Secrets Manager/Vault).

• Operational Excellence:

• Participate in on-call rotations and lead troubleshooting efforts for critical production issues.

• Optimize AWS cloud costs (FinOps) and resource utilization.

• Embrace and promote the "Weaving" concept, focusing on the seamless integration and collaboration between Development, QA, and Operations teams to achieve a unified, end-to-end software delivery lifecycle.

𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀

• Experience: 2-6 years of hands-on experience in a DevOps, Cloud DevOps Engineering, or SRE role.

• Cloud Platform: Strong, practical experience with AWS services and architecture. AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional) is a plus.

• Programming/Scripting: Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Bash/Shell) for automation.

• CI/CD Tools: Deep experience with CI/CD pipeline tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline/CodeBuild/CodeDeploy).

• IaC & Configuration: Hands-on experience with Terraform or CloudFormation. Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible/Chef) is desirable.

• Containerization & Orchestration: Solid experience with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).

• Version Control: Expert use of Git and standard branching strategies (GitFlow, Trunk-based).

• Networking: Strong understanding of core networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, Load Balancers, VPNs) and AWS networking (VPC, Security Groups, NACLs).

• Monitoring: Experience implementing and maintaining monitoring and logging solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch).

• Mumbai-Based: Willingness to work from our Mumbai office.
