Job Summary:

The candidate should have experience in both manual and preferably (but not mandatory) hands-on automated testing, a strong understanding of QA methodologies, and a passion for delivering high-quality products.

Responsibilities

  1. Manual Testing: Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing as required.

  2. Bug Reporting: Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools, ensuring clear communication with development teams.

  3. Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.

  4. Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies.

  5. Performance & Security Testing: Conduct performance, load, and security testing to ensure application robustness.

  6. Test Documentation: Maintain detailed and organized test documentation, including test cases, test results, and test summary reports.

  7. Environment Management: Set up and manage test environments, test data, and configuration settings.

  8. Client Communication: Participate in client meetings to understand requirements, provide status updates, and demonstrate tested features.

  9. Automation: Implement and maintain automated test suites using industry-standard tools and frameworks.

Skills

  1. Testing Methodologies: Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).

  2. Manual Testing: Proficiency in manual testing techniques for web, mobile, and API-based applications.

  3. Bug Tracking: Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, Bugzilla, etc.).

  4. API Testing: Proficient in RESTful API testing using tools like Postman, SoapUI, or similar.

  5. Performance Testing: Experience with performance and load testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner, etc.).

  6. Cross-Browser/Device Testing: Experience in cross-browser and cross-device testing.

  7. Understanding SDLC: Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.

  8. Documentation: Ability to create clear and concise test documentation.

  9. Agile Practices: Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Good to have

  1. Preferred ISTQB / QA / Testing certification.

  2. Automation Tools: Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, JMeter, Postman, or similar.

  3. Programming/Scripting: Basic programming or scripting skills (Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar) for test automation.

  4. Database Testing: Good understanding of SQL and experience testing with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.).
