Gold Loan Officer

Company is seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Gold Loan Officer to join our branch team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for promoting and processing gold loans, assessing gold ornaments for valuation, managing documentation, and ensuring seamless customer service in line with company policies and RBI guidelines. This role demands strong sales acumen, accuracy in operations, and a commitment to delivering trusted financial solutions to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Handling:

• Welcome and assist walk-in customers seeking gold loans.

• Explain product features, interest rates, repayment terms, and benefits clearly.

• Gold Valuation & Verification:

• Conduct purity testing and weigh gold ornaments using standard Muthoot-approved equipment.

• Ensure accuracy and transparency during valuation in the presence of the customer.

• Loan Processing:

• Enter customer details and valuation data in the Gold Loan software system.

• Generate loan proposals, agreements, and receipts as per company procedures.

• Ensure accurate documentation and KYC compliance before loan disbursement.

• Sales & Business Development:

• Achieve assigned monthly and quarterly gold loan disbursement targets.

• Promote renewals, top-ups, and cross-sell othert Finance.

• Participate in marketing and field activities to increase customer base.

• Customer Service & Retention:

• Maintain professional customer relationships and ensure timely follow-up for interest payments and renewals.

• Resolve customer queries and grievances effectively and promptly.

• Compliance & Audit:

• Follow all internal policies, operational guidelines, and audit procedures.

• Ensure zero tolerance for procedural errors or discrepancies.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: Minimum HSC / Graduate in any discipline (Commerce preferred).
• Experience: 1 year of experience in gold loan operations, NBFC, or banking sector preferred.

• Technical Skills:

• Practical knowledge of gold valuation methods and purity testing.

• Proficiency in gold loan software and MS Office tools.

• Soft Skills:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Customer-centric approach and sales-driven mindset.
• Integrity, attention to detail, and accountability.
