Role Description
We are looking for a
Data Engineer Intern
to join our team at NextGen Digital Solutions in Navi Mumbai for a
3-month internship
. This role offers hands-on experience in working with modern data tools and technologies. The intern will assist in designing data pipelines, preparing data for analytics, and supporting the development of reports and dashboards.

Exposure to
Microsoft Fabric
will be an added advantage, along with knowledge of SQL, Power BI, and basic data engineering concepts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support in designing and maintaining data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric and other data tools.
  • Assist in developing Power BI reports, dashboards, and datasets.
  • Work with structured/unstructured data and support data cleaning, transformation, and integration activities.
  • Learn and contribute to ETL/ELT workflows for data ingestion and preparation.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and business teams to understand reporting needs.
  • Document workflows, learnings, and project contributions.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree (pursuing final year) or recently graduated in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or related field.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL, databases, and data engineering concepts.
  • Exposure to Power BI (reports, dashboards, DAX, Power Query).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric (Data Factory, Lakehouse, Dataflows, or Synapse integration) will be an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) is desirable.
  • Good problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.

Preferred Skills (Nice To Have)

  • Exposure to ETL/BI tools like SSIS, SSRS, or SSAS.
  • Knowledge of Python or PySpark for data workflows.
  • Understanding of data modeling and warehousing concepts.
  • Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git).
