Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Linux Administrator with 2 to 4 years of experience to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Linux operating systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for technology. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining our Linux servers, ensuring their performance, security, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers and related software.
  • Monitor server performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system resources.
  • Perform regular system backups and ensure data integrity and security.
  • Implement and maintain security policies, firewalls, and user access controls.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and group policies.
  • Collaborate with development teams to support application deployment and environment setup.
  • Automate system administration tasks using shell scripting and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet).
  • Conduct system upgrades and patches to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Document system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams and end-users.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2 to 4 years of experience as a Linux Administrator or in a similar role.
  • Proficient in Linux distributions (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat).
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation.
  • Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef) is desirable.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as CompTIA Linux+, Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), or equivalent.
  • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Understanding of database management (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
