We are excited to offer a career opportunity for an Apprentice- Associate Data Protection Analyst within our Commvault Managed Services team. In this role, you will directly engage with customers and their environments, providing daily operational support and management of their Commvault data protection solutions. We're looking for candidates with a foundation in incident management, ticket handling, change management, basic troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and Cyber Resilience operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt support to customers via phone and email, resolving technical issues effectively.
  • Manage and troubleshoot customer cases using the ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Maintain ownership of each case, offering regular progress updates to customers.
  • Uphold a customer-first mindset with a strong focus on service excellence.
  • Collaborate with teammates to devise optimal solutions to complex challenges.
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and contribute to developing new ones where needed.
  • Actively pursue learning opportunities to strengthen Backup & Recovery Commvault solutions & additional technical skills.
  • Support internal stakeholders with reporting requests related to services and products.
  • Submit weekly timesheets to help monitor utilization and team productivity.
  • Maintain awareness of customer environments and ensure services align with contractual commitments.
  • Operate independently with initiative while contributing positively to overall team performance.

Qualifications & Skills

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Computer Science, IT, Electronics), OR
  • Bachelor's in computer applications + Master's in computer applications Technical Competencies:
  • Basic knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Understanding of core networking concepts: TCP/IP, SCSI, iSCSI, Fibre Channel
  • Familiarity with storage technologies (SAN, NAS, DAS)
  • Awareness of cyber resilience and cybersecurity fundamentals
  • Advantageous: Foundational knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Advantageous: Understanding of backup and recovery domain concepts Additional Skills:
  • Strong verbal communication and telephone etiquette
  • Clear and concise written communication
  • Quick learner with a strong technical aptitude
  • Team-oriented, yet self-motivated and independent
  • Highly organized with effective time and task management
