About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced
Embedded Developer
with strong expertise in
streaming media, C++14/17, and embedded systems
to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to design, architect, and develop cutting-edge solutions for
Smart TV and consumer electronic devices
, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review product requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Design and architect new products; enhance and optimize existing software.
  • Create prototypes, design documents, and technical tasks with clear implementation plans.
  • Develop core components and conduct code reviews to ensure design compliance.
  • Build tools to measure product quality and automate defect detection.
  • Within 3 months: triage bugs and implement feature details by collaborating with other teams.
  • Within 6 months: gain deep understanding of media stack architecture and drive improvements.
  • Within 1 year: take ownership of new features and lead their development.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Streaming media domain experience
    (client-side integration, playback, DRM, multimedia frameworks).
  • Strong coding skills in
    C++14 / C++17
    and
    embedded systems
    .
  • Experience with
    Smart TV platforms
    and consumer electronics.
  • Proficiency in
    C, C++/C++11, JavaScript, JSON
    .
  • Expertise in
    multi-threading, cross-compilation, CMake build system, Linux internals (process, filesystem, memory, IPC, journald logs, core dumps)
    .
  • Hands-on with
    Boost ASIO, socket programming, OOAD, Linux services/daemons
    .
  • Familiarity with
    GStreamer, ffmpeg, Wayland/directfb, Apple AirPlay, PlayReady DRM 4.x
    .

Preferred Skills:

  • Websockets, REST API, SnapCraft, Docker, Conan package manager.
  • CI/CD tools: GitHub Actions, CMake, Make, Meson build system.
  • Unit testing frameworks: Catch2, GoogleTest, BDD frameworks.
  • Knowledge of Rust, Python, Shell scripting, Jira.
  • Basic understanding of
    cryptography
    and
    network packet filtering (TCP/UDP)
    .

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in
    Computer Science, Electronics, or related field
    .
  • 8+ years
    of relevant experience in architecture, design, prototyping, software development, code review, and unit testing for consumer electronic devices.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
